Need a buddy to start please! I'm morbidly obese and need to loose 6 stones to target. Is there anyone else starting the program with the same type of target goal. If so please lets do it together.
Looking for a Weight Loss buddy to beg... - Weight Loss Support
Looking for a Weight Loss buddy to begin my trek to loose 6 stones please !
Would love to help you although our goals are a bit different.
I'm happy to compare notes, I'm getting closer to the finish line but have to date lost just over 40kg, that's just over 6 stone... 😊
That is amazing! Well done! please keep an eye on us too and guide us along the way.
How have to managed to keep in track. I know exactly what to do I just don't do it
Hi dd. It's not always easy. I have my slip ups, and plenty of them... But if I have an off-day I find it easiest to just get back on track the next day. None of the "ah, I slipped, I'll resume on Monday" stuff, always straight back on does it for me...
I have absolutely no self-control when it comes to food. I can always eat, I'm never full, I can happily munch all day. So I find it very important to track every single calorie I consume.
And now that it's getting more difficult, due to metabolism naturally burning less calories at a lower weight, I keep a spreadsheet with my calories consumed and burned through exercise. That way I can see how much I should be losing and if I notice my deficit for the week isn't as big as I'd want/need it to be, I try and eat less/exercise more...
You'll get the hang of it, I'm sure. Once you found a rhythm, whether that be food or exercise, you'll find staying on track easier... Take it slowly, take your time, it's not a "who gets there first" kind of challenge...
I am in the same boat need to lose half my body weight and just been diagnosed pre diabetic. I'm tired of trying and not succeeding and have never used forums before. I suffer with PTSD and GAD (not weight related) but combatted that with talking therapy and lots of professional support so hoping that will help me here too.
I'm happy to give open, honest, support to someone who will do the same for me
dd1439 lets do it properly this time. Change habits, plan exercises, stick to it and hopefully finally succeed!
I'd like that.
I struggle mid day when I'm working from home. I then need to be doing lots of things at once I work off a laptop which I can then catch up on to at the same time (don't watch it any other times) but that's when I want to munch on rubbish.
It's like I need to be doing lots of things at once.
Breakfast is usually cereal (Scott's oats) or toast
Lunch is either soup and break or sandwich
Dinner tends to be either missed if I'm out working or eaten at 6 ish but that's then it for the night. Very rarely have puddings and don't snack after dinner
So the issue is grazing through the day and not eating better dinners and not drinking enough.
I was going the gym or swimming everyday. Did lose 2 inches round waist in 8 weeks but didn't feel any better and wasn't any lighter so got disheartened. However mood was better and panick attacks were less
Sounds like my inner voice echoing in my ears through you guys 😕😯. I've been doing okay over the last few weeks but I get distracted so easily by many different foods that the family goes through.😣😕😣. I would like to stay focused on the journey only towards downhill and I think with you as a buddy we could surely beat those pesky pounds a lot quicker and easier. 😀😅.
Sana 786 it would be great to buddy up so lets do it and finally get it done this time!! Similar problem with the family foods. How much are you hoping to loose?
Hi JaniJan good morning.
I am hoping to lose 3.5stones. I know it sounds like a mountain of fat but that is exactly how I feel. Like I'm carrying a mountain of fat on my body trying to hide it under the clothes.😩😣.
Yes it is similar issue i.e. family food and all.
We have to get through it together with the help and support of everyone else on this forum.
It seems like we are not the only two people who will be on this (mission impossible turned around and rephrased as mission succeeded.)☺😀😆😅
Who is with me now? Let's set us a realistic challenge of losing a certain weight by next saturday. I am setting my first task as doing 20 mins of different excersises for 5 days over the next 7days.
There! I Said it now! So no turning back on my words now! 🙆🙅.
The beauty of this forum, Janijan, is that we're all buddies
I've lost 5st so far, with the support, encouragement and inspiration of everyone in this community and I have no doubt that they will continue to do the same for me, as I attempt to lose another 4st.
I can't wait to see all their pom poms waving as I cross the finish line
I know that, should you wish, the same help will be there for you, including from me

I need to lose 5st
I've signed up today and I need to lose at least 5 stone to get in my BMI, so I'm with you x
Been shopping (Scott's oats, wholewheat pasta, rice and spaghetti lots of veg and fruit), been for a massage and going to do some exercise later. Starting as I mean to go in. I'm a control freak who lost control.
My goal is a bit smaller but I still can support you if you need
God help me don't even know how much I have got to lose, but it is in excess of 4 stone. I would be happy to go on this long journey together.
Hello and welcome e5ta to our friendly and supportive forum,
