I was 15 stone am now 13 11 is pasta a good way to lose weight?

Hi Joanne-h,

On a calorie controlled diet, there is room to have pasta - just be a little imaginative with the sauces; Use tinned tomatoes, flavoured with worcestershire sauce, herbs & onions, go easy on oil and cream.  Philadelphia stir-in soft cheese is lovely with pasta and some chopped up ham - but weigh your portion of pasta before you cook it so you control the amount - it is easy to have too large a helping!

You have done well to get to 13 11, so you are obviously on the right track!

yeah we shud, I only lost one pound this week but suppose it better than gaining

I have 9 pounds to lose to get to 10 stone but want to lose over a stone in total. Starting weight 10 stone 9 that's the scary bit telling starting weight!

finding it ok atm, just need to keep away from unhealthy food, and build my exercise up

I know a pound is not much but I have been steadily losing a pound a week for a while now and lost 12 lbs already. Slowly but surely we will get there :)

How much do you have left to go muffin top? I couldn't think of a better name for me atm than muffin top!

I would like to lose another 10lbs. Muffin top is shrinking but still a way to go. Trying to do lots of exercise to tone up and try to shrink some of the excess skin. Like your name - more positive than mine ;)

Similar goal to myself then! Well done on the shrinking muffin top. I would love to fit into a pair of my jeans comfortably! Waist measurement currently 36 inches! Thank you! How are you finding it?

Have managed to stick to the calorie allowance almost every day for 8 weeks now. Weight loss slowing down to about a pound a week so hoping that the extra exercise will help to increase that a little. I am a bit impatient. First two weeks were hard but manage to walk past the biscuit tin these days without too much difficulty. Not quite sure where my waist is still yet but at the widest part its about 37 inches so lots of sit ups needed!!!

Mine is chocolate! I've gone cold turkey with it atm as I know I'd go ott if I had some! I just think it will taste nice for a few minutes but will be on my stomach for ages and take me further away from my goals!
