I need to motivate myself and need a plan for a few days where I can see this weight move, I have tried sensible eating and nothing is shifting , then I get dishearten. What diets work and don't?
Any help appreciated

Hi Mpmum,
Welcome to the forum. You've asked a few questions there, and I'd like to give you some information that might help. Sorry if there are too many links, as I don't want to overwhelm you, but at the same time it can help to have a good look at eating plans, and I notice that you've asked specifically about what diets work, so hopefully these links will help give you an informed choice:

Hello mpmum
You sound like I used to feel! I ate healthily and was fairly active (until arthritis set in,) so why wasn't I thin? The answer is maths, I was taking in more calories than I was using 😕 So the solution is to reduce calories and/or increase movement (to use up more calories.) Any 'diet' that does this will work.
However, for optimum health and long term weight management there are other factors, quality of food, individual nutrients, exercises to build muscle as the body uses up fat stores, and, most importantly, creating good eating habits.
Have a look at the links lowcal suggested, do some research, finding the right eating plan is essential in my opinion, 😊
I love my food, love cooking and eating, and cannot stand feeling deprived, so for me, it has to be a calorie counted plan with enough to eat and treats allowed. but you have to find what works for you,
Best wishes
Anna 😊
