Anyone know of friendly groups for walking / cycling around Southport area ? I work shifts and prefer to exercise in the week keeping weekends for the family.

Walking & cycling Southport area.
I've always used facebook to search for like minded people within my area. It's wise to take the usual precautions of not putting too much detail on the web, but overall I've found it very useful with lots of public groups, sharing information and meeting up for social and sporting activities such as walking, cycling, swimming, bowls etc.
Have a great day
PS I had a quick look and noticed the Macmillan Walking Group facebook.com/groups/1159094...
Although a closed group, you may find that it fits your lifestyle.
Thank you. Will have a good look.
Hello. Why don't you join the Around the World in 80 days challenge? See my thread this morning. Great motivator 😊😊
Thank you. Where do you post your steps to ? Only managed a very poor 2 miles yesterday due to a chest infection still bugging me.
See my thread this morning Around the World in 80 days. Please post on there 😃😊
You could try the Rambler's Association. They have a good selection of walks each week.
Thx Rosa. Have tried the Ramblers before but found everything 90 mile an hour & no time to take in the scenery .
You could try this one, you can search the area you are looking for to see if there is anything suitable. A few years back I went on a few of their walks, before I had to stop. The area I am in, they graded the walks according to difficulty, so that if you are just starting or have mobility issues you know whether you should be able to actually do the walk. The people were very friendly and chatty on the ones I did.
Thx. will look at this.
Good luck, I hope you find a nice group of people to walk with!
