Swimming
I walk a lot and like Pilates. I love to swim too. Pilates is a great toner I find to complement the walking. Would like to start running again and have downloaded the c25k. Watch this space.
I go to Body Pump 3 times a week it's brilliant, it's a good all over body tone, since I have started exercising I feel so much better in my head, I never believed that was true until I experienced it.
I like body combat, I feel excellent after a class..
I run.
I downloaded the free C25k (couch to 5K) podcast and now I can run 6 K easy. It took me longer than 9 weeks to do, but I was so amazed that I (68 years old) could do it and my legs have toned, which is necessary when you lose weight.
There is also a Couch to 5K forum which is fantastic group and full of very helpful funny and cheerful people.
The program starts with just 60 seconds running. I could not even do this so started with 30 seconds running! As you do the program, your confidence grows and you feel good about it. Friends and family get so amazed.
I highly recommend you look into it.
I walk and I cycle - better for the knees than running. I do belong to gym and pool but far prefer to de-stress and unwind outside. Something about nature that calm I guess. And yes, I live in the city - still plenty of green spaces. Whatever you choose, enjoy.
walking the dog, swimming and weights + core exercise
I run but its not my favourite, ( why have I entered a marathon? ) I love classes, I do spin cycling, bodypump, as has been said great for toning, zumba, zumba tone, insanity and sometimes I fit in aerobics too! Can't abide the gym though wild horses wouldnt drag me there
Running! All the way! Or dancing- any dance tbh
Weights - the effort put in carries on into the next day, so even when you're resting your metabolism is using up fat stores. I also like running and pilates. Not so good at aerobic classes as I have no sense of direction and cause chaos by being out of sync with everyone else!
Running or cycling. Although I haven't been cycling for ages but I do prefer it to running. Once I get to my target weight I am going to start lifting. Really wanted to get to target weight by Christmas but I doubt that will happen *scowl*
Loving anything based around music and dancing, so Zumba and salsa classes. I like Aquafit but at my local pool the water temperature is so cold and the teacher's attendance so erratic that I'm taking a break.
Sounds good I love dancing so that might keep me interested π
Yeah do you know what's good, just putting some music on and having a good dance about - have to close the curtains first mind, my farmer neighbour has a tendency to wander around and if he walked up to the back door he would see my looking a lunatic
