Would you believe it!

I went out for a skinny cappuccino this afternoon to a hotel not too far away. When it was brought to me it came complete with a petit four. Normally I would just ignore this small sweet confectionary and leave it be BUT today I took a nibble and at that precise moment a button went flying off my blouse, despite it being three sizes too big where I have lost weight. A gentleman very kindly came up to me while I was looking around the floor for the offending button and said "It went in your handbag", which was ridiculous because my bag was closed. When I looked up again the gentleman had disappeared. Sure enough when I took all the rubbish out of my bag when I returned home, there was the button laying at the bottom. Now I'm a non-believer in the paranormal, but someone up there was telling me off that's for sure!!!

And will you listen? :)

Thanks for sharing :)

And well done with the loss, I don't think the odd petit four is dangerous - as long as it is rare :)

Goodness. Maybe the man was a magician. Or maybe the bag was open at a corner! I hope the treat was nice at least.

Will I listen? Well the rationale is..... I don't usually touch them so the chances are I wouldn't be tempted again HOWEVER, would I possibly want to test the theory again??? Stay tuned! Did I enjoy it? Yes actually lol!

No, it was the blouse protesting, it does not want to be seen out with you! It was its way of saying 'stop wearing me NOW',(obviously because blouses can't talk) buy yourself something the right size orphan Annie!xx

You have me in stitches!!! My theory is (wait for it!)........ You may or may not have picked up that we are leaving Lisbon for good and heading back to the UK (after many years) at the end of this month. Soooooooooo, all the stuff that is tooooooo big I will wear in the last few days of being here (including underwear) and then just throw away rather than washing it!!!! Of course I'll still have Rod's stuff, but I have reduced the ironing by half! Okay so orphan Annie may exist for a few days BUT at least I know that I have brand new 16-18 clothes in my suitcase just waiting to be worn!

How was the holiday by the way? Hope you had fun! X

LOL - sounds like it. Put the button on a chain around your wrist to remind you when you feel tempted again. Well done with your weight loss - sounds amazing.....

Goodness you are brave to wear a blouse,I stick to a tee shirt or jumper, they can stretch a size or 2 the elasticated waste and don't help.when I get a bit of weight off ,like about 5 stone I will wear a fixed waist band so then I will know straight away to deal with it if it gets a bit tight, instead of letting the waist band stretch 2 or 3 sizes because its elastacated .

Just wearing them for the last few times before they have to go in the recycle bin westonmill. They really are just too large now but need a push to ditch them!

Think of it as excess baggage that you have to pay for, give it away , chuck or burn, no use to you now!

Absolutely Diana, but just going to wear some of them as a "make do" while packing. Then I can throw it all rather than waste time washing it and have my nice new clothes waiting to be worn!

A good tip, which I have recently come across is soapnuts! Brilliant for washing and does all fabrics, started last w'end should save me a small fortune in laundry.

Lost weight a while back, I gained a bit through changing jobs, and have no fat clothes ( I was 12st 6, and now 11st, got down to 10st 8, aiming for 10st 10st now) to fit, which I think is the only way to go!
