OK so today I had the usual bircher muesli breakfast, and then lunch in town sightseeing with my inlaws.
Frankly it was disgusting. Potato dumplings with bacon and vegetables (I'd been trying to avoid ordering fries) ooh they were horrible. I ate the meat, part of the potato and all of the veg. Tempted by chocolate later as lunch was quite early but resisted by reminding myself I could snack on fruit when I got home. So I've just had a nectarine and 2 plums. For dinner I'll have 2 english muffins with tomato, low-fat salami, rocket and a little cheese. One of my new habits is to use sliced tomatoes directly as the first layer on the bread, because tomatoes give out juice/water, so they make the bread moist without buttering it.
Then a treat of course, I like to treat myself. Either a jaffa cake or a square of chocolate, either way it's about 25-30 calories, and maybe some more fruit.
I love hearing what other people have, and maybe we can get new ideas from each other, so I'd love to here what you're eating too....

Well today's food round up is not too bad. Maintained weight from yesterday at 167 lbs.
Breakfast was the usual bircher muesli, this time with coconut and chopped fresh nectarine, almost a tropical feel.
Lunch was out with some friends in a pizza place. I didn't want pizza so had one of the few non-pizza options on the menu, a wiener schnitzel (pork steak breaded and pan-fried just in case anyone isn't familiar) which came with fries and a salad. Well I'm still beaming with pride, I didn't eat a single fry. I put my blinkers on and pretended they didn't exist and just ate the schnitzel and the salad. I did have a glass of wine with lunch so not exactly perfect, but still pleased about the fries. And no dessert, to be fair service was so slow we may have still been there now....
Mid afternoon snack - large handful of grapes.
Dinner - one and a half English muffins with smoked salmon, sauteed fennel and scrambled eggs. The fennel is possibly a weird addition but I couldn't think of how to get a vegetable in with that meal, so it was odd vegetable option or no vegetable with it.
Dinner was followed with one square of cadbury chocolate and a large peach.
Tomorrow's challenge will be going for coffee and cake with some other friends. I've always had cake with them before, it'll be tough to decline now.
