On day 2of the nhs diet ,went ok yesterday but all I did was think about food !

Thinking about it is ok, it is eating it that's the problem. :-) Seriously though, are you thinking about food because you are too hungry, or are you planning your next meals. If you are very hungry try to factor some healthy snacks into your allowance. I have fat free Greek yoghurt or a little peanut butter on rice or corn cakes.
