Ovulation
I’ve so many questions! I’ve been TTC for... - PCOS UK (Verity)
I’ve so many questions! I’ve been TTC for over 2 years. Never been on any contraception diagnosed withPCOS-can I still ovulate if I’m irreg
It’s different for different people. I have been trying to conceive for a year but have not naturally ovulated.. my periods are absent and I just spot everyday.
Some PCOS people do ovulate though.
The best thing to do is to go to your GP and ask to be checked out..
Tools like BBT and OPKs can be useful for some people but to be honest they just stressed me out.
My GP took about 8 months to refer me to Gynae... which then took about 4 months to get the appointment due to Covid etc.
I’m very soon about to start Letrozole to help me ovulate.
If you have been trying to conceive for 2 years that is enough time in my opinion to warrant some answers.
Hi,I have pcos and dont ovulate and only had periods once or twice a year. Some people with pcos can ovulate as mentioned above but you can still have periods and not ovulate. I was trying for 2 and a half years and then got referred and have just started letrozole to try and help me ovulate. You should speak to your dr about it and ask for a referral to gynae or a fertility clinic. OPKs and bbt are good to use however just be mindful that for a lot of people with pcos, OPKs can sometimes be unreliable depending on hormone levels etc. I wish you luck and hope you get your positive. xx
