The ingredients are pure spread, a little coconut sugar, maple syrup, a teaspoon of peanut butter a little wholemeal flour and mainly oats.
I creamed the butter and sugar added a splash of maple syrup and then gradually combined the other ingredients. I cooked them for about 10 mins and then turned the oven off and left them in there which helped to give them a biscuity crunch.
I have really been fancying hob nobs since I realised they are vegan so although these have sugar in its not anything like the amount in a bought biscuit 😇
They are delicious and well worth making 👍

They look lovely and chunky Ali, perfect for dunking. One nibble then your nobbled I think was the phrase for hob nobs - I had forgotten all about them, but after seeing these it got me thinking about Bourbon Biscuits, and then I remember seeing a giant Bourbon for sale in Costa and the more you try not to think about it, the more you think about it 😮
Hi, yes I bought mine in sainsburys. It’s quite expensive and lasts a long time. It’s low on the GI index and it contains inulin which promotes gut health.
Since I bought it I read that although it has healthy benefits, sugar is sugar so the fact that it’s sugar outweighs the benefits.you could use brown sugar instead. I’ve been vegan for 3 years and I’ve only even bought two packets as I only use a minimum amount.👍
