Despite downloading at least two programs, my computer has decided it can't open this file! I'll try again later; you never know! I did see an article about this, on the news.... looks promising!

As I said on FaceBook, I'm sure this is a big step forwards for kidney treatment but I'd urge caution.

Reading through some of the detail (and bearing in mind I'm no medical expert) I believe that the process requires an existing kidney from which they remove the old damaged cellular structure. The key downside as I see it for us is that they still need to retain the existing vascular and glomerular structures; the bits that I believe are most damaged by vasculitis.

But regardless this is still pretty impressive, groundbreaking research that will no doubt lead to more discoveries that will ultimately prove of direct benefit to us Vasculitis patients.
