is there any financial help for wegeners sufferers?, old age pension is streched trying to keep warm and maintain transport,

Hi gsmith... know things can be a financial strain. i know that through John and Susan Mills Vasculitis Uk subscribe to Work and benefits site which offer support and advice also there is another site...... turn2us.entitledto.co.uk/ which enables you to put in your current financial situation and it works out any benefits you may be entitled to. Also within your local community there are charity funded organisations which assist free of charge in advising benefits and applying. Also because you are using your pension try contacting your local ;Freshstart group if you have one they again are charity run group who assist the over 50's in any way they can re advice and activities etc. Best advice would be 'don't be afraid to ask'..... if you don't ask you don't get!!!!!!!!

I don't know your physical condition, but what about DLA? Have you tried for that? And social services? they may be able to help with getting you some help around the home, not financial i know, but once you open the door,sometimes help follows

If you are to appy for dla,make sure you get help filling in the form,as it is very long,and very hard, and CAB or any of the charities can help and advice you
