Is anyone else having problems getting Aza from the chemist (part of a chain). My one next to the dr seems totally unable to get it, they say there "are manufacturing problems". The chemist at a large superstore seem to have it in.
just wondered if this is a chemist issue or is there a problem

Seems strange. I got my repeat prescription OK last week. It isn't as if Aza is a drug which is only used for us poor unfortunates, it is used quite widely in the treatment of rheumatoid problems. Maybe your local place really means the "middle man" they deal with is having problems and they don't want to pay extra by going elsewhere. Maybe that's just me being cynical (lol).
Could be. He was certainly surprised when I told him the superstore had it, as I think they use the same supplier. But as you say it is widely used so for them to be out of stock is irresponsible especially if you dont have transport.
I came off Aza and went onto Rituximab in June so I don't know what is happening now, but early this year I got a letter saying that I would no longer be able to get it through my doctor and would have to get it from the hospital.
I had a problem this time getting the 25mg tabs ( I am on 75mg twice daily) my surgery could not get them and I had to drive 10 miles to Boots to get some. Hope it is not always like that.
All my drugs are delivered to me from super drug . In a doset box monthly . Although my aza is no longer put into it. Never had a problem getting it
