I have cerebral vasculitis and in the last few days have developed a painful black area on middle sole of right foot which is spreading accross the foot. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what was the outcome please.

Black area on foot
Hi,
I have no experience knowledge of this but I think it needs looking at urgently. A black area which is spreading suggests an area of necrosis that is probably due to blockage of medium sized blood vessels. If that is the case it will lead to an ulcer or if it keeps on spreading, something worse. So act now, contact your consultant tomorrow for an immediate appointment or see your GP or go to A&E. But don't do nothing>

Can I echo the advice to get this investigated immediately. I would recommend that you go to your GP today or A&E. Do not delay.
Yes; black skin is tissue death caused be iscaemia as no oxgenated blood is reaching the tissue, suggesting blood supply issues further upstream.
This must be seen to immediately and can have some severe complications if not sorted quickly.
Been to GP says nothing to worry about must have stood on something without realising maybe due to bit of neuropathy.
