My daughter has recently been diagnosed with IgA Vasculitis, with Gastro-intestinal involvement. She is currently living in France and being treated with Colchine, to which she is responding well, with no flare-ups (pre-diagnosis she was having a flare, with severe stomach pain every few weeks). She is due to return to the UK in July and I am worried that Colchicine might not be available to her here on the NHS. I just wanted to ask if anybody on here (living in the UK) has been prescribed Colchicine for their vasculitis?
Thanks and kind regards!

yes it was the first drug l started on when l received my vasculitis diagnosis. It did make a difference . I am no longer on it , as it was not enough by itself . However it did help and I think it is often prescribed in the uk .
Hi! Thanks so much for your reply - that's very reassuring. I couldn't find it mentioned on the NHS sites and it doesn't mention vasculitis on the NICE colchicine page, so I was worried it isn't prescribed here, but it obviously is! I hope you are doing well on your new treatment! Best wishes!
