Has anyone any information regarding Ronapreve ?

Am I right in reading it will be given to prevent infection from Covid 19 after being tested for antibodies?

Not exactly. At the moment in the UK the plan is to just give it to certain patients hospitalised with Covid who have a poor antibody profile. So people who are confirmed Covid patients and have been admitted to hospital with it, who lack the antibodies needed to give them the best chance of fighting the disease successfully.

Longer term it is possible the policy may change, to use Ronapreve or a similar drug more widely as a preventative measure, e.g. among immunosuppressed people before they get the infection. But that will depend on lots of factors.

For more details of the current plans see the official UK Government statement at

gov.uk/government/news/thou...

This page also clarifies which Covid hospital patients will get it by age group / immunocompromised status. E.g. it varies depending on whether the patient is over or under 50.
