Side affects of Rituximab - Pred steriod

Hi had my 2nd Infusion on 31st March been OK apart from now having a D V T in my left leg, but now am getting 2-3 Sores on my head and skin is very dry and corners of my mouth are red and cracking, eyes are continually watering and mild soreness and a light headache, been putting Suda cream and Vaseline on the cornets of my mouth but doesn't seem to be getting any better, just wondering if anyone else are getting or have had these side affects, 🙄

I didn’t have these symptoms with rituximab.

Perhaps it's the Pred steroids then or the co-trimoxazole anti biotic I'm taking?

I still take co-trimoxazole and have a sore mouth more so on the days I take it. Pred can cause so many problems. You may find your improve as you reduce the dose. I expect you had a dose before your infusion too.

Yes, started on 60mg, then 40, then 20, then 15 and currently on 10 MG then going down to 5 mg in just over a weeks time, Only taking Co-trimoxazole Monday - Wednesday and Friday, on the 14 July have to go back to addenbrooke's to see how my lungs are and maybe bloods etc, then another rituximab infusion in September, That's of course those appointments still stand,

I take it Monday Wednesday and Fridays too. I have appointments at addenbrookes in June and July so I’m also waiting to see if they go ahead. If your problems persist you could give the Vasculitis nurses a call to see what they suggest. Take care.
