MPO with impared kidneys

I was down with MPO impared kidneys in 2015, Was on remission after six months of cyclo & steroid.On Azathioprine 100 mg now,I have developed excessive wrist pain & massive swelling. Has anybody experienced such a situation .If yes what was the treatment followed and was it effective ? Is this a flare up ? Please advise asap . My next visit to consultant is in next week

Yes it happened to me with MPO and kidney probs. Rheumy diagnosed this as arthritis. No treatment offered only pain killers, and a possible operation for the thumb area.

Many thnx Tiachbird for prompt response. What did they do in the operation ? I've swollen wist fro two months now.

I think they released a trapped Tendon in the area between thumb joint and hand.

Yes, this was one of my symptoms when I first started with MPA (ANCA PR3 +) Vasculitis. Wrists, ankles and one elbow was affected (but not all at the same time). They were swollen, inflamed and painful, with the symptoms lasting for about a week. It occurred on again on two occasions after I was in remission (but not as severe). My consultant wasn't unduly concerned about it.
