20 years since cerebral vasculitis diagnosis

Just blogged this. I've been ill for 23 years, but always remember 5th November as "my" anniversary, because that was the day I had the huge battery of tests. 20 years ago this weekend coming up.

Hello Viv, like you, l also have a date to remember with regards to Vasculitis, mine is the 30th December - my birthday - not any old birthday but my 60th! This was when my eyesight started to fail and was eventually diagnosed after a great number of tests as MPO Vas; actually l have two dates to remember, the second was the 29th December- just before my 61st Birthday - when my other eye failed leaving me partially sighted. Not the best of days l must admit but memorable in more ways than one!!

How are you doing now? Are the medics looking after you ok?

Hi Viv, as far as the Vas goes it's in remission at the moment - sort of - only l still have ear pain, which is part of the Vas, so need a Lidocaine infusion which is taking place later this month and l hope it'll subdue the back pain caused by a broken vertebra!!! If it doesn't rain it pours.
