Can't help you with the Gabapenten.

Have you tried 'green lipped mussel' ointment for the ulcerated leg. A District Nurse used it on a friend who had a varicose vein ulcer and it healed very quickly. You can get it on prescription but you can also purchase it.

I take Gabapentin for my back and leg/ hip pain. I find it very helpful. It is especially for nerve pain.

Hi Yorkie12,

Gabapentin is a totally different type of drug to Zapain ( I am assuming this is Co codamol? ).

It's an anti epileptic drug which is also used to treat neuropathic pain. You need to start off at a low dose and increase it slowly, it can take up to a month to work.

How long were you taking the Co codamol for, if it was the higher strength ( 30/500 ) then you may get withdrawal symptoms from stopping in suddenly. It seems a strange substitution to make!

Dear Yorkie12,

I feel like Manuel, on this one, I know nothing-I am from Barcel....no........wait Clacton!

I don't know about Green Lipped Muscle Powder, except that it can help muscle pain- I am 'borderline' for Rheumatoid Arthritis, so it useful to know these 'things'.

Sorry that your medications are being 'messed up'- Io make no comment here, for fear of offending the 'decency' code!

I will merely send you my very best wishes and hope that all goes well, for you Yorkie.

Kind regards AndrewT
