I think our V-UK Chairman, John Mills, may be best informed to answer this but if it were me I'd be seeking to move my treatment to a different hospital. Over the past few years there has been an improvement in the knowledge base and expertise available in treating vasculitic conditions and we now have centres of excellence across a reasonably wide geographical range.

My treatment has been excellent at my own hospital in Cumbria (despite a failing health authority) and also under the care of the eminent Dr David Jayne at the Vasculitis and Lupus Addenbrooke's in Cambridge where I have had both grommets and t-tubes fitted. I am sure there are members here who are treated at similar specialist centres such as at Birmingham and in London who can add their recommendations.

I'm sad to say I believe you being deceived and mistreated by your existing hospital and you should complain at the highest level. I would certainly not be willing to trust them with my well-being and care.

I suggest you contact John directly at john.mills@vasculitis.org.uk

Healthy wishes.

My hospital has been excellent & I am more than satisfied with the treatment I have received from them. It is Suffolk health who have refused to allow it to be done on the NHS.
