Hi Nannie

Do you mean the 24 hour test where you have the monitor on you all the time? I haven't had that but I have a friend who did (not vasculitis) and I think she was pleased to see the back of it.

Hi Nannie, yes I have had one, last year. I have CSS / EGPA since 2007, breathing gradually deteriorating, there was some suspicion that the vasculitis might have caused pulmonary hyperthingy; it involved a simple scan (can't remember was it ultrasound or xray, have had so many they blur into one..) - looks at diameter of pulmonary arteries during breathing in and holding breath, apparently the arteries collapse down a bit if they're Ok but stay inflated if you've got PH. Mine were ok, turned out problem is widespread bronchiectasis instead. The test was all done in less than half an hour.

Hope this helps. Rob.

Thanks for the answers. I had read that it's a bit like an angiogram and did not like the sound of it at all. Hopefully it won't be as bad as I was expecting.

Just thought I'd let you all know, I've had the test. It was like an angiogram. They went in through the groin and apart from the local anaesthetic I didn't feel a thing. Had the results there and then. Heart and lungs okay but I need dialysis as the fluid in my body is crushing my heart. At least I know why I'm so breathless.
