Does anyone know what the latest information is on the availability of Nalcrom (sodium cromoglicate)?
Our daughter has just been prescribed it for the first time, and despite what it says on the website I am being met with “Nalcrom has been discontinued and sodium cromoglicate is out of stock.”
Just wondering if anyone is having more success than us?

Generic sodium cromoglycate is definitely available. I was in touch with the generics company abotu two weeks ago and they had no issue. I don't know of an issue with Nalcrom branded product either.
Good news, our GP and surgery pharmacy were brilliant and we received the meds yesterday. Even the branded version (Nalcrom).
This is all new to us, but makes so much sense now and probably been going on for much longer than we first appreciated. Reading various documents and advise has had so many jaw dropping moment as things fit into place and what seemed like random symptoms are just part of the Mast Cell issues. The ‘Phases’ of the reaction information covering:
- immediate
- first few hours
- next 8 hours
- 24/48 hours
Was particularly true for our daughter.
I do have a rare disease myself, so that has helped with planning etc.
