We have been told by Sanofi that Nalcrom will be out of stock until the week commencing November 23, 2020.

We have been in touch with the Department of Health and Social Care to inform them of the problem, and indeed they have spoken about it this morning with their team and will contact the pharmacies that import medications to see if any of them can find suppliers to provide the medication. As with ketotifen, these imported supplies would be unlicensed in the UK but licensed in another EU country, should they find a source.

Ketotifen is an H1 antihistamine that seems to also have some mast cell stabilising properties. (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl.... You might discuss with your doctor about adding ketotifen (tablets are available, not elixir) if you are not already taking it and rely on Nalcrom.

We will keep you updated when we learn more about supplies.
