Are you struggling with pain? Many of us have adverse reactions to pain medication i know i do. My immunology consultant has found me am amazing med that really helps. Amd as it has very few things added to it makes it less likely to cause reactions. nhs.uk/medicines/nefopam/ here is a link that will hopefully give you some info on it 😃

In your experience is it Nefopam better than paracetamol? The article says "It is usually prescribed when painkillers such as paracetamol or naproxen do not help your pain."

I find it better for back pain than paracetamol, and as I was so relived to have found it after an amazing immunologist spent days looking onto it and its added ingredients.

Thanks for sharing that! As you well know, pain management can be such a challenge because people with dodgy mast cells can have reactions to pain meds. Really helpful to know what works for others-- and this one is less common, so many wouldn't find it.

Yes pain management can be really hard going when you react to things alot. Always good to share when we find something that we can tolerate, even tho unfortunately doesn't always mean others will be able too tolerate them.

That's a really important point. We are all so different, especially in what we tolerate in terms of medications, so everything new should be tried after discussion with your doctors and carefully. When I try something new that my doctor has suggested, I ask if I can take the smallest available dose, and I make sure I have my epipens handy and there is a responsible adult around to help and I'm not too far from emergency care if I need it.
