Hi I'm new to this site I had my transplant 6months ago an 3months after I started having realy painful legs I can hardly walk I loved dancing an i can't do it anymore also walking for any length of time is also very painful. I have mentioned this to my doctors at the hospital and they just keep telling me they think it could be the antirejection meds as anyone else experienced this thank you

My kidney is doing great however, I wake up daily naseous with a headache. I never know how I will feel. Everything has been checked over and over. It has to be the drugs. I am 14 months post and they are still adjusting meds looking for an answer. you are not alone.

Yes the meds cause joint pain. It's worse if you are susceptible to Arthritis. I think it is the Tacrolimus. I was on 3mg a day and lowered to 1mg and the aches and pains were less intense.

Thank you the doctor said they think it's the meds but won't lower them at the moment as they say it's only 6month and they don't want to risk rejection at this stage but sometimes the pain is unbearable and I don't want to keep taking painkillers.

Hi

Thanks for your posts. This has made me put 2 and 2 together. I haven't connected my arthritis with transplant meds before. This could explain a lot and will mention this at my next appointment.

I am 17months post transplant so will let you know what they say.

Best wishes,

Mgt
