My doctors have not once asked me for my consent for the surgery. IT PISSES ME OFF!
Is my say not good enough for them? Just let my parents sign away my right to say anything about it

That must be very frustrating for you. You don't mention your age, but if your old enough to feel the way you do you should say something. I use to hate going to appointments with other people even when I was in my 20s as I always felt they talked to the other person and not me. I never go with anyone now to stop this, but I'm guessing your not 18. Find the courage to say something, not it a nasty way but this is happening to you and it must be scary what ever surgery they are talking about.
I hope it works out ok, take care x
I understand you will feel bad about that......
At 16 you are well able to decide for yourself.... and should be treated with respect regarding consenting to surgery....
I'm guessing you want the surgery... your other posts seem to suggest that....
Do say to your parents and to your surgeon, how you feel.... it might be that they think you are ok with everything because you have gone along with it.....
It is important that you make your feelings clear.....
When I had my transplant ( I'm much older than you).....i was only asked for formal consent just a few hours before my surgery...... it's been 6 months now and I'm so glad I decided to do it.....
So happy not to have to dialyse any more.....
Hope this helps
Good luck for next Wednesday.....
