Not really no but I have had a couple of infections which I believe are common in transplant. I know a few people that have to have long term anti-biotics to keep them away

We women all have experience of cystitis one time or another. If it happens to me I use natural organic Acidophillus extra tablet caps. To prevent reoccurences, I eat bio yoghurt containing live Acidophillus bacteria as part of my healthy diet.

Hope this helps.

i too suffer from this from time to time and it can be agonising ... i'm sure i'm allergic to drs so avoid them like the plague. i have a supply of nitrofurantoin that i was prescribed to take every night as a sort of preventative. since having my native kidney removed i dont get as many kidney infections so i dont take them every day anymore though i continue my prescription for such events so if i get the cystitis type pains i drink like a fish and throw a few nitrofurantoin down my throat. its not very professional but i think my consultants know that i rule my body it doesnt rule me and touch wood its been pretty ok each time with my creatnine pretty stable even though i dont drink water or clear fluids just tea and coffee. (on these occasions i drink lots of weak tea and avoid coffee). i wondered about taking these live bacteria drinks but wasnt sure if i could.

I suffered quite frequently with infection type things. very uncomfortable to go to the loo etc. I tried drinking loads of water but all it did was make me pee more but didn't stop the pain. I know take a small dosage of antibiotic every day as preventive medicine and touch wood things have been so much better since. May be worth speaking to ur consultant. Good luck xx
