Not again :(

It was finally starting to look optimistic... me being referred to the Tourettes clinic I mean. But today I got a letter (which someone 'accidentally' opened) saying that my appointment has... been cancelled. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! *stops breathing temporarily*

So I am REALLY fed up now. It was the one thing I have been looking forward to (besides the obvious Christmas!) and now it's been cancelled AGAIN. I now have to go BACK to the GP and get ANOTHER appointment with the same neurologist, undoubtedly in another seven months time, by which point my ever-worsening Tourettes may have finally knocked me out.

My friend has left our home because it wasn't suiting his needs. Which brings me to another question... Why do they dump so many autistic/AS people in unsuitable placements? Also, why do they assume that, just because your 'label' is AS that you are therefore independent or capable of independence. Okay, so I might be in the future but my council want to speed things up and get me independent by the end of the year... Not going to happen. But that's a different rant for a different day >:(

THE PHOTO ON THIS BLOG REPRESENTS THE BLEAK PROSPECTS OF THE NHS!!! (I took it :) )

Myself and charlie, have every sympathy with you. it can be terribly difficult to get help with Tourette's. We were seeing the Neurologist at great ormond street who didnt even refer us to the clinic, just sent us to local health services. I would have thought it would have been sensible top send us to the clinic so understand your concerns only all too well. Fondest regards John& Charlie Turvey
