It was finally starting to look optimistic... me being referred to the Tourettes clinic I mean. But today I got a letter (which someone 'accidentally' opened) saying that my appointment has... been cancelled. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! *stops breathing temporarily*
So I am REALLY fed up now. It was the one thing I have been looking forward to (besides the obvious Christmas!) and now it's been cancelled AGAIN. I now have to go BACK to the GP and get ANOTHER appointment with the same neurologist, undoubtedly in another seven months time, by which point my ever-worsening Tourettes may have finally knocked me out.
My friend has left our home because it wasn't suiting his needs. Which brings me to another question... Why do they dump so many autistic/AS people in unsuitable placements? Also, why do they assume that, just because your 'label' is AS that you are therefore independent or capable of independence. Okay, so I might be in the future but my council want to speed things up and get me independent by the end of the year... Not going to happen. But that's a different rant for a different day >
