Feeling 'full' in ears

Hi everyone - I developed T during Covid lock-down and had this checked by a private specialist and had all the usual hearing tests. Up until around 2 weeks ago my T wasnt too bad and I had found it pretty manageable .

However, as a result of a very noisy MRI scan and poor ear defenders, my T has gotten far worse and think my hearing has become more damage. Ever since, I have been experiencing a feeling of 'full-ness' in my ears and am finding myself constantly trying to clear what I feel is a 'blockage' in my ears by holding my nose and blowing - when I do this I hear lots of cracking sounds and then a feeling of mucus dripping down the back of my throat.

Does anyone know if these things are connected and if so, should I return to a specialist for further investigation? Thx

Hi PVR

It seems to me you’ve got a sinus infection, or something similar. Because the symtoms you describe are exactly like my sinusitis. I suggest you get that checked out. I’m partly deaf and have has tinnitus for a very long time as well, along with a feeling of pressure in my head. I hope you can get some help.

Best regards, Pete.

I have had a feeling of a blocked ear ever since tinnitus started 4 months ago in just one ear. I haven't been for an MRI as worried to make it worse. Sorry that happened to you original poster. However my tinnitus followed an ear infection yet my ear seems to still feel blocked. I am not much help but have similar symptoms.

I had this last year & my GP said it was Eustachian Tube Dysfunction . If I have a cold or bad hayfever it gets bad & my ears feel really full & my hearing is worse .
