Hi all, wanted to share this with you, and want to know your thoughts on it. braintrainuk.com/about-us/n... Also there's a podcast in which this is discussed. open.spotify.com/episode/1F... Although it's expensive, my tinnitus is so bad that I may take out a loan!
Tinnitus technology. - Tinnitus UK
Tinnitus technology.
good morning …. Yes , but we have been advised time and time again not to waste our money on all this sort of stuff. . It may feel like it is going to work in the short term but in the long term it will not work and leave you even more frustrated than the T does.
I know that Dr Ben Thompson of Treble Health had positive things to say about the NeoSensory products, so I'd certainly take his opinion seriously - the (refundable) deposit and rental fee from this UK-based organisation is a considerable outlay but possibly the most accessible way of trying out this technology given the current shipping restrictions to the UK if people are dead-set on using it.
if it were proven to work, long term, in (say) sixty percent of cases then I would be interested. If it were proven to make things worse in, say, ten percent of cases then I would avoid.
I haven’t read the science behind this nor the research results.
, so what I’m writing here is just my thoughts.
I have noticed that the address on the website comes back to a residential property (i.e. a house). It might not be significant, but it's not what we might expect.
I'm somewhat dubious about 'brain training' and having to put your hand in your pocket to do it. I've trained mine the buckshee way. Telling it that if if doesn't reduce the tinnitus, the wireless headphones are going on. By now, brain knows its not a bluff...
Wow that's a lot of money. My HA are working and despite really wanting to get rid of T I can't afford this. I'd carefully (very) read any T and c s around the offer of refund. There are usually a lot to unpick if you are thinking about this
