Tinnitus louder

a couple of weeks ago I got a new sound in my right ear and this sound can go from being low like the other sounds to very loud I am finding it hard to deal with the loudness. My hearing aid doesn’t seem to help any suggestions

Since a head injury back in 1993 I have had tinnitus. I have found it gets quite loud sometimes, generally at night when I am in bed which made sleeping difficult. I had a white noise machine that also had sounds of the sea with normal seaside sounds such as birds, buoys, rain, etc to make it more natural. Unfortunately it broke and any other machine I found didn't have that option, the company stopped making that model but had a couple others with quick repeats on sounds instead. I downloaded a vid from YouTube that had hours of sea sounds and another that had a forest stream and converted them to MP3. They work to let me get to sleep.

I suffer bad hperacausis too. The ENT person told me no good for me hearing aids. I bought some of Amazon but I think I might have made things worse at moment I have foam ear plugs in to lower outside noises. The white noise machine is that something you listen to outside your ear.

I use a 'Renpho' white noise machine, it has 30 plus different sounds, sea, birds trains etc. Very helpful. Purchased from Amazon.

Glad it works. It is so miserable when you can't drown out the noise.
