I very often go dizzy and giddy when I go to get up. I try to ignore it and pretend it’s not there, the same as any fullness I get in my head. The tinnitus has mellowed a bit because I have learnt to ignore it. It really does work , if you can adjust your way of thinking and relax. I take my poodles for walks etc. you will get better, yes doctors are not interested , they cannot do much to help.
Hi, it is tough when first occurs. Have you had hearing test as well? Boots/Specsavers can do these for you so don't need GP. Focus on positives in life and if you have something you can do to relax that you enjoy spending time doing this is good. Tinnitus UK has some advise on it's website as well. You do get there with it.
Some people think covid doesn't effect tinnitus it does, the most important thing when you have tinnitus is sleep, go back to your GP and ask for some sleeping tablets, but only take them for a couple of weeks, if you can get your sleep pattern back you can cope better and the tinnitus will seem lower, i am afraid all you can do is wait and be as active as you can, you will have good and bad times with tinnitus, things will get better but you must get some sleep.
When I have interrupted sleep patterns. I take liquid Nytol for a few nights. An optician once told me that this kind of medication can affect the sight so use for shortest tine possible l.
