Like others been suffering a long time. I am trying multiple things to alleviate symptoms. However although it breaks my rule of only trying one thing I am going to try Gingko whilst undergoing some physio on neck/shoulders. I am taking two tablets a day, one am a d one pm. I'm just going to give it a few weeks and see. Will let you know.
I believe however my T is elevated by hayfever and I have issues with hayfever tablets. I found sleep particularly difficult whilst on those tablets. So I've stopped taking them and things have improved. However I'm at the point in the gear when I'm affected less.

Do let us know how you get on with daily Ginkgo. My own limited success with it is to have 90mg one day, then nothing for the next three. In the intervening days my tinnitus will (should) subside for the greater part of 2 or 3 days. Of interest is on dose day, the tinnitus gets a little louder. Something is going on there.
I'm not convinced Ginkgo works with a daily dose. That is of sophisticated Western medicine, not the raw ingredient on its own. But I would be delighted to be informed otherwise. Good luck.
I’ve taken high strength Gingko for years and it does nothing for my T. Limited studies showed a certain type can help with one sided vascular tinnitus, apart from that it doesn’t help. The study was in Germany, an internet search will bring up the details.
I have taken Gingko tablets from Holland & Barrett a few months ago and they made no difference to my T whatsoever. But what works for one person it won’t work for others.
I've had tinnitus now for 10 months. The mild version. It is getting better I believe, as I read it may well do after many months. I've been taking Ginkgo the way I do for the last 8 of those months and even with the improvement I still need to take it. At the stage I've reached I can now suggest that Ginkgo works in a subtle way and at a much lower dose than seems to be taken. Too high and any benefit just gets blown away, so to speak.
