Hi, I worked in a very stressful job. I'm sure that this is what started the tinnitus that developed into pulsatile tinnitus. I love qigong and do it every night before going to bed (I have six, simple routines). When my head is on the pillow I say to myself over and again until I fall asleep "I have no thoughts in my head." I am also trying a neck exercise on YouTube per Dr Mandell to relieve the pressure in my inner ear that may be causing it. youtube.com/watch?v=ZNMDGSG.... Some things that he speaks about on his channel work - others don't, so the jury will be out until I test the exercise.

Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for the post. I've been struggling with a sudden significant worsening of my T and am looking at all self help methods and strategies. I hadn't heard of the ones you mention so will be definitely researching these today and hopefully they can help get me to a better place and a little more sleep to bring back some sanity to my life. Much appreciated!

I’ve watched many of that persons videos, I’ve found nothing he says works. For me he’s a well meaning quack.

I also tried a few of his techniques before and not of them worked. I have no confidence in him but others may tell a different story.

He has lots of positive comments on his videos but I suspect they are fake.

I would say sleep is probably the number one thing you need to get a control of to manage tinnitus and as you are doing, try things that may work for you. There will be a lot of experience from people on here that have gone through the early stages of struggling with sleep. Sound generators, relaxation techniques, meditation are some that spring to mind. It maybe worth doing a search for sleep posts or posting a new one asking for tips. I was lucky to not have a sleep issue when my T first started
