Hi Ray 200, Thank you for the article on Hyperacusis, I have suffered this and Tinnitus for many years and they are both getting worse but not as bad as the poor lady in the video, it’s a devastating condition and I just wish there was a cure.

I had hypercussis for two years. I also experienced it briefly after surgery for a rare cancer. The link for me is heart. After my surgery they suspected I’d developed an arrhythmia but it took another 3-4 years to dx paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. It seems to me that only after treatment and eventual surgery for my heart condition did I get relief from hypercussis. Sadly the tinnitus that developed in its place continues Call me cynical but my takeaway is all conditions are linked but we only get referred to a specialist covering one area who doesn’t have the holistic expertise to make links. Thigh bone connected to the hip bone etc. Until all specialists work together will there be treatments and a cure.

I'm not a Hyperacusis sufferer myself but having read the article I didn't want anyone who does and comes to this community to miss it. I'm interested in all conditions linked to tinnitus, especially cases like yours where conditions improve / disappear. Hope shines eternal.
