My referral is to audiologist first but not Ent, is that common and at least correct process to save the time of waiting something more suitable rather than wasting resourcesThx

I am just asking about personal opinion in general of course everyone t is different

We are not health professional , even if we are every cases is different then there is nothing to talk about here

Toughmathew profile image
Toughmathew in reply to Toughmathew

And as i said i am not trying to blame anyone or shift responability Dr is human , human makes mistakes , when we share our experience, if people has similar or find something irregular , they could give some precious comments. If its normal, then thats cool,

While everyone is asking questions then they should probably turn to health professional even a kid would know that, just saying we are not dr or your dr then there is no room in discussion in this forum isnt there.

But now gp put me in queue to nhs one which i said they admit some unneccesary waiting error i m not sure if they put me wait back in the square one and ignore the error time period.

Thats what i was talking about i didnt type here to show disrespect to then i just state the fact that while they check they got human errors , even Aud department is the sub dep or ent, i need to explain and retify myself in the state of ringning tensely with static feeling in my heard

Hope u guys would be a bit understanding

most people understand that u are having a difficult time with yr T and yr ENT referral

Is it possible you could see a private ENT in yr local area , which would be a much quicker process. I saw a private ENT and it cost £170 for consultation, then £400 for the ENT MRI scan - I do realise not everyone has the finances for this

I have very severe T and nothing was found on the scan and then ENT couldnt help me any further or offer any suggestions. Quite often some neurological conditions do not show up on the MRI scan

Can i ask where abouts in UK do u live Mathew ?

Chiropractic practioner is it good to try then

surviveT profile image
surviveT in reply to Toughmathew

why Chiropractic ?? do u have issues in your neck??

Toughmathew profile image
Toughmathew in reply to surviveT

I mean t is very hard to find underlying causes just curious and the fact that i used to think about chiropractic is different yes thought its like neck pain, however you go to some of their web site claiming they treatment has bunches of funtions some even we would think its irrelevant as a layman

really not sure if u need Chiropractics - i would keep away from this.

you are still awake i see ,like me

Toughmathew profile image
Toughmathew in reply to surviveT

No of course not, in the market when it comes to magic or hopeful treatment always remain skeptical for sure

someone a few days ago on this forum , suggested taking 1 tbsp of olive oil every day ( with meals i expect) which reduced her T. I think i shall try this or the fish oil capsules

hi. The audiologist will do an audiogram to check for hearing loss. But so will the ent 10-15 minutes before he/she sees you. Hearing loss can cause tinnitus

Toughmathew profile image

I had a hearing test at specsavers as I wasn't offered one at my gp surgery. Then I did get a referral to ent through a locum .zwaited several months and had another hearing test .I don't need hearing aids but nothing can be done re tinnitus which is still loud 24/7.

Hi TM. It's fine to see audiology first. They'll be able to help you with your T whether you have hearing loss or not. Do you have a date yet?

doglover1973 in reply to Toughmathew

I felt very sad for the first year or so, then I started to improve over the next year . It may not take you so long. How are you today?

if it with an Audiologist at Specsavers then its most probably the same test - so yr hearing seems fine
