if it helps anyone every several months the noise volume goes down for me.when it started it really messed me up it was very loud.now im doing some decorating, something i just couldnt do a couple of years ago.just about all i was good at was sitting on buses, the bus noises cancelled out the tinnitus . i was scared of losing my mind and/or ending my life, life can be very unfair😐

You certainly sound you have accepted Tinnitus. You should be proud of where you are now and how far you've comeMy Tinnitus is with me all the time. Luckily I can accept it, and it's all about tolerance now.

I keep myself busy, and use headphones for music/white noise to draw my attention away. I also have hearing aids with masking (i only use the masking due to Hyperacusis).

Yes, I'll go with that. Mine has settled down to the point sometimes when i wake i have to focus and listen really hard to see if the T is still there. It is.

I've created my own 7000mz silence??

All the best to everyone

I'm a great bus man too! So reassuring did I find the noise that I bought an audio recorder through Amazon to capture it during quieter trips when there's no passenger talking around and play the noise back in bed when reading. A tiny thing for what it is, it lives in an old spectacle case.

My T is also variable, and I've found I can induce a quieter time from it in a day or two using Ginkgo. Clicking on my username will find a few posts on how to do it. Today is one such I am taking Ginkgo. T is very present but it will shortly be masked by wireless headphones and the promise that come Thursday or Friday I will be having a better time of it.

I'm renovating my kitchen, and doing it with wireless headphones. Bliss. Had to largely give up on BBC local radio. Too many miserable self indulgent songs of angst from the likes of Noah Kahan. A real plague of them. Gone onto Boom Radio. Excellent service from them.

I’m so glad to hear that your T is gradually fading! I am pretty sure mine is too, although it’s hard to tell sometimes, as this is quite the rollercoaster ride! Thanks for sharing your hope with us!
