Specialists in/near London

I've had tinnitus for 8 yrs, it gets progressively worse and I've now got pulsatile too. I'd like to be referred to a renowned specialist in the field, or recognised centre which is advanced in the field/holds trials etc. Can anyone recommend a person/place to me? Very many thanks.

hello Colee. I’m just about to embark on a private specialist consultation because of my dreadful Pulsatile T. His name is Mr Axon based at Addenbrooks cambs university hospital trust. He’s done a YouTube video about symptoms treatment and some examples of who he’s treated. He’s nhs I think if you can get a referral from your gp but also sees private patients. Also at Addenbrooks is a Mr Higgins another specialist. Look them both up on line. Not sure if Cambridge would be of any use to you but certainly that Mr Axon seems to know about PT as his video was really interesting. Best of luck and hope you find a resolution as I know how you feel. Good wishes.

That's really, really useful thank you. Someone else had mentioned Addenbrooks, and Cambridge isn't too far, i'm prepared to travel a bit. I will try to get a referral from my GP, I'd rather not pay if there are options on the NHS. Really appreciate the info, thank you again.

Addenbrookes is a centre of excellence in audiology, so it's a good choice if you can be referred there.

To follow up on Minsky's post, this is Patrick Axon's biography on the Cambridge Hearing and Balance website - cambridgehearingandbalance....

Really good to hear thank you, that's 3 suggestions for the same place, it really must indicate something. I'm very grateful thank you, I'll read up on Patrick Axon and watch the video. Thank you so much for the reply.
