Hi, it's Nadia. I've had tinnitus for over 7 years now, the last 4 years have been really hard as it got worse and I developed hyperacusis as well. I'm a lot better now mentally. I live in Manchester and have tried to go to tinnitus meetings to meet other people with the same condition, as it is very hard to go out to regular places. If anyone living in Manchester is up for a meet up you can message me. With my hyperacusis I find extremely difficult to meet new people as I cannot go to most restaurants/bars etc.

Nadia, I don’t live anywhere near Manchester so can’t help as far as that’s concerned.
Well done for at least trying to socialise.
Can I suggest you contact Tinnitus UK? If you give them a ring or message them they might be able to suggest something for you.

Hi Nadia, there was a tinnitus support group in Manchester but the Chair of the group had to step down and there was no one to replace them. If you would like me to put you in touch with the group contact, let me know!
There's one in Bolton which I'm sure Tinnitus UK can put you in touch with.
I know about that group the problem is all the tinnitus groups clash with my work schedule. But thanks for replying
