For overhead headphones Bose QC 45's for in ear Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II

Both expensive but worth every penny as bose ANC is, imo, the best you can get. I've tried pretty much every kind of noise cancellation products out there and after a lot of trial and error these work best for me. I have severe tinnitus/hyperacusis.

I'm new to T so not experianced. Are the Bose QC 45's purley noise cancelling or can I listen Audio books and music. Ditto Bose Quiet comfort Earbuds 11?

Thanks

Andy

They're both normal headphones for listening, but with a noise cancelling feature to block out external sounds.

I think tinnitus is very personal. For most people the act of concentrating on what is coming through the headphones/earphones is beneficial as it focuses your attention on something other than what is going on in your head.

They are both normal headphones with noise cancellation. I don't personally use them for anything other than ANC feature but I'm told they are very good for audio, which you'd expect given price tag. If you don't mind buying second hand check out the likes of CEX where you can get them much cheaper than retail with a 2yr warranty.

Did a lot of research on this and these are the next best to the expensive Apple ones. Help tremendously when life gets too much with noise sensitivity out in the world / neighbour noise at home / times when tinnitus is too much .highly recommend. ☺️

I agree, the Bose QC45 headphones are great for noise cancelling, I really thought I wouldn’t be able to travel again in the car due to road noise and a continuous buzzing from engine noise, but these headphones changed my life ,I would definitely recommend them,

If folks are on a budget, I can recommend Anker's Soundcore Life Q30 noise cancelling headphones - £79.99 at Amazon, with a 25% off voucher. They have a transparency mode which I never use, but the noise cancellation is excellent (amazon.co.uk/Soundcore-Canc....

Hello,

Not sure if this helps as what I'm using aren't noise cancelling headphones.

When in louder places and travelling I bought those Loop Experience Plus Earplugs - High Fidelity Hearing Protection for Musicians, DJs, Festivals, Concerts and Nightlife – 18dB Noise Reduction Ear Plugs – Extra Accessories Incl - Black

And I have to say that they allow me to live better, be in noisy places like a club, train, underground without having a drastic increase of my T.

Said that I am reading with great interest how to best use noise cancelling headphones and which to pick.

I'm rather new to T so still figuring out what works.

Many thanks all for sharing and hope that sharing my experience helps someone too.
