Recently had a prolapsed disc (number 7, in the lower neck) and trapped nerve in my left shoulder. January '23 onwards.Since April the T has definitely been a lot louder, I thought the two things may be related. (The last couple of weeks seems have gone into permanent spike territory, so loud)
I've now seen my neurologist who confirmed the T is not related at all !
I really thought it may have been, that was my gut feeling anyhow. 😐
Now I've asked to be referred to ENT.
My ears are clear and my hearing has depleted more in my left ear.
The Tinnitus is definitely louder in the left, but is can be pretty loud in the centre too.
Luckily, though it is very loud it does seem quite a constant tone though accompanied by a whooshing that matches my heart rate, depending on activity.
Just been reading some of the stories on here which I find very helpful and wanted to share mine. 🙂

hi marv and thanks for the update - I had t seen your earlier post before so I had a quick jog through it and through the responses.
I had a disc problem in upper back many years ago, don’t know the cause, and it was much alleviated by osteopath visits. I used to go about every nine months or so for about three half-hour sessions once a week, for many years. Then a friend whose daughter is a physio suggested Physiotherapy might be better so I saw her privately, and she performed different manoeuvres on me, again about three sessions once a week, plus exercises. And this seems to have solved it.
Thank you for replying Happyrosie, For looking back too. 🙂👍Yeah, I do stay active. The specialist said I can resume lifting weights, which is brilliant therapy too.
Definitely the T is not as noticeable when our minds are engaged with something else.
