Can anyone give advice on relatively quiet kettles that will not aggravate this condition. I have a Russell Hobbs kettle that is allegedly quiet - unfortunately it isn't!

I know the problem.

I can't offer an alternative, but you can rule out a small Igenix if it is anything like ours, and your T is anything like mine. Most people would think it very quiet, but my highly reactive T tracks and outdoes it. Then again, it can track and outdo just about any random noise.

Hi not sure if this helps but I often microwave a cup of water 30 seconds (ish) works fine.

Hi Paula. I've got a kettle from Wilko. I can stand next to it while it boils. Brand name kettles from Argos have been too loud for me.
