I've got a new symptom and I just thought I'd throw it out there to see if any of us sufferers have also experienced this. It's bad pain across the back of the head and down the neck especially when I twist my head 90 degrees either way, put my chin to my chest or tilt my head backwards. Neck exercises have NOT resolved the problem and my next step is to get an X-Ray. I sense it might be a result of the incessant noise in my head. Any ideas?

Head and neck pain
I have neck pain also. It shoots up the back of my head and over my ears. There’s something wrong with the nerves which I think is related to my tinnitus. I’m on pregabalin for the pain which they said was occipital neuralgia. The volume and pitch of my tinnitus changes with certain neck and jaw movements.
ditto...feel we r stuck?..we r all trying varying ways to get around our tinitus butnot goin anywhere are we?..I just give up!
to you Marty and to the other posters who’ve replied to you - concentrating on the symptoms is not, I’m afraid, going to help you get to the stage that you want to be - habituation. Whilst there’s no “cure”, there are lots of ways to alleviate the anxiety and tension that T can generate.

yes I too have occipital neuralgia. I’ve had multiple nerve ablations to kill whichever nerves are causing the problem but they keep growing back. I had tinnitus 40 years before the neuralgia, though. Currently finding relief with a Korean acupuncturist.
