Hello sun. I think it has been said before to you, these sounds cannot hurt you. It seems to me that your anxiety is hurting you and not tinnitusPlease look at all the answers that have been sent to you in the past and reflect on them. You need to become calm and we have, I think, given you hints and tips on how to do this or you can find a lot of helpful information online including, as I have said before, the British Tinnitus Association website.
Hi sun_1234,
I agree with Happyrosie...your anxiety is getting the better of you and in return your T will feed off this and will appear a lot louder. The same thing happens to me on a daily basis. If I start to get a bit stressed at work, then my T will shoot right up. I just have to sit and breathe for a while. Whilst I'm typing this my T has got louder and that's just because I'm thinking about it.
Have you spoken to your GP about how you are feeling? If not, then maybe you need to get some help in relieving the anxiety that you are experiencing, which I am sure your GP will be able to prescribe something.
Wishing you all the best
Hi Sun
Nothing really to add to what Rosie and Molko have advised. I think what you are noticing is an anxious response to sounds. They cannot hurt you and you don't need to be embarrassed about the reactions which you're having - most people with tinnitus experience some variation on this cautious and protective attitude towards sound in their early days with tinnitus.
It will get better, but you may need help with managing your anxious thoughts. Your GP will be a first point of contact, but you can use services like IAPT or therapists in private practice to support you.
We have a guide to stress and anxiety on our website which can also help you to understand the relationship between these emotional and psychological states and tinnitus loudness.
