It was third time lucky with Audiology at the local hospital - after two cancellations. I saw a lovely young audiologist who couldn't have been kinder. It was well worth the wait . She's going to fit HA's next month. A mould for my deaf ear and a tube for my good ear . So if you're in a long queue don't give up hope. You'll get there .

I’m glad, doglover!
Yayyyy!!! This is the kind of good news I like to read about 😁
That’s good news DLI hope all goes Ok for you .
That is good news. Do you mind me asking how long you waited? I’ve just been referred so hoping it won’t be too long.
Hi DizzyMess I waited over a year for ENT and a further five months for audiology. If you're in a long queue for ENT it might be worth asking if you can go to audiology first. Or you could go private ENT and ask them to refer you back to NHS audiology. Good luck. Hope you don't have to wait too long.
That’s really great news! Kim H
Pleased to hear of your successful appointment. It’s nice when you come away satisfied . It’s a nice feeling to feel some love and care. xxx
So true Penny. I still have a warm glow this morning 😊
Even more so when you live alone . The weather is so lovely lately and amazing . Helps with doggie walks . Will you think about getting another dog ?
I'd like to but I'm going to wait until I'm in better health. I don't think I could manage a puppy just now. It is a nice time of year for dog walking . How are the poodles? Still as lively as ever? You put some lovely pics up recently.
Good Morning, its nice to know your persevering has paid off, as waiting a long time seems the norm, I gave one hearing aid and it does help, as have tinnutis quite badly in one ear, good luck with yours, I'm off to the tinnutis clinic at my hospital today hoping for a pink noise in my hearing aid to mask the tinnutis take care
Good luck at the HA clinic today. If you have a good clinician, they should be able to help you. Take care
HI doglover, that's great news. Really pleased to hear that you "eventually" got your appointment, and more importantly, you're getting some HA's sorted out. I see someone else has asked how long you have waited for ENT and Audiology, do you mind me asking what health authority you are under? Only reason is that it will give others an idea of how long they might have to wait. Good luck with your HA fitting, and trust me, it WILL all sound really strange. Take care
Thanks Pnut1 I'm in the University Hospitals Bristol & Weston area. I live very close to one of the small hospitals in the trust. I could've had an earlier appt at one of the larger hospitals but I'm not well enough to travel.
Very Happy for you, glad things went well, I felt far better once I had been seen by my local NHS Audiology Department and someone was trying to do something that would help me with Tinnitus. As what as been said before Hearing Aids take a bit of time to get used to them,
👏👏👏😁
Great news doglover1973 I'm so pleased you had success with your appointment 😻👏👏
That’s really good and positive news thanks for letting us know. I do think the NHS is under great pressure and they do a very good job in difficult situations.Happy that you are happy!
This is positive news going forward hope everything goes well for you👍
That's great news it makes you feel so much better when someone takes the time to listen and sort out a problem for you. So pleased for you take care.
A story with a happy ending for a change! Good to hear
Yay! Love to read a good experience of audiology departments and how they can support the tinnitus community. Best of luck with the fitting, DL73! 🐩
