I am a 31 year old Male suffering from tinnitus for the past 14 years . It came all of sudden without any underlying cause. Few times the sound got spiked and there will be a new level of sound which will take time to habituate. 2 months before my tinnitus spiked very heavily with Ear clogging. Ear clogging cured within a week after visiting ENT dr. But the raised sound volume didn't reduce back to baseline. We had all scans: Temporal Bone CT, Audiometry, brain MRI.
From Brain MRI we found out that NeuroVascular conflict in the Eighth cranial nerve. Neuro Surgeons are not sure whether surgery will cure the tinnitus as it's there for a longer period( 14 years).
More than the tinnitus, this recent spike drives me crazy and it's unbearable. Had anyone got rid of tinnitus spike that persists for 2 or 3 months. My worry is whether this sound return to baseline or this will be the new normal.

It sounds like you’ve done all the right things gopiraj. So, now is the time to stop concentrating on the why’s and wherefore’s.The more you think about tinnitus the more that the little imp insinuates into your mind.
Have you looked at the website of the British Tinnitus Association? There is so much useful information on there.
Do things you enjoy that will take your mind off it. Here in the UK in spring I would say take some walks in the countryside and listen to the birds and the trees. But that may not be possible where you are! Yoga, breathing exercises, mindfulness are all options for you.
We all experience T in different ways so I can’t say your T will go away or whatever. You will habituate to it.
