Yesterday I was invited to a Christmas Party for the over 65s, at first i was not going to go , but changed my mind, I was pleased I did, for 4 hours I forgot about my Tinnitus.
The only downside as some of you will know is that after all the noise I suffered with a spike at bedtime.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful and Healthy New Year
Here I am in my Christmas Pullover with the wonderful volunteers.

I think that enjoying yourself far outweighs a possible spike - which will go - and you’ve still got happy memories. Happy Christmas
Lovely photo Mike. And a great Xmas jumper. Four hours- that is excellent 🥳
Well done for going out, glad you had a great time. Yes, it's good to forget about 'it' for a while. Thank you for your kind messages on here. Merry Christmas and all the best to you for the new year. Lindsay xx
Yes and I thought I was a very good judge of people, the lady on the right with the blonde hair, stood in our local elections and I prayed she would not win, she did and has turned out to be a real star. she organised the event and many more for us oldies.
thats brilliant that u had a great time at Christmas party - great photo , its nice to actually see (in photos) our friends on this forum - there should be more photos of our forum friends on here for christmas, I think - Merry Christmas and a Happy and healthy New year to you Mike
Having being able to friends around certainly does help out especially when you are having fun. I recently had a best friend fly down to Moncton from Vancouver and we had a blast for a few weeks. It really made me feel better as I was not thinking about the annoying sounds in my head. try to listen to as much music as possible or watch some movies so that there is not dead silence around me. It is only a night that is most annoying and hard to sleep. Here is wishing all a very Merry Christmas despite the condition in the world around. us and pray for a better year to come.
What an upbeat and inspiring story - so pleased that you had a good time. T in the background and you didn't notice it for 4 hours! I wish the duration of habituation will carry on for you into the New Year, and beyond.
