Tinnitus
Never heard of these . Are they allergy tablets. ?
Hello rabbits65 they are used for depression or anxiety.
Have a read of the paperwork inside and see if it says anything about tinnitus in the side affects. You should be alright though . I do understand that tinnitus does create anxiety , you don’t want that to get a grip .
it does mention tinnitus as a side effect do i take a chance and take them
To be honest I think if I were in your shoes I would weigh up the pros and cons. Can you possibly manage the anxiety any other way? Ok so you’ve read that their is the possibility of the tablet making tinnitus worse. Do you know what - if you take these tablets your going to worry about it. So the answer must be “ no”. . I’ve cut out all my tablets because of tinnitus risk, but you’ve got to make the decision yourself, at the end of the day.
Agree with rabbit. If anything lists tinnitus as a side effect .. Don't risk it. I still suffer with anxiety on bad days . It's a natural response to tinnitus . Try and live with with it john. Be kind to yourself. Do things that help you relax. Easier said that done I know .. With the constant din. Your decision of course.
I would not risk it. I took otomize ear drops and got tinnitus. They can cause it but I didn't research it till it was too late.
Took my T off the charts.Does the GP think depression and anxiety are causing T?
I have the same dilemma! My anxiety is taking a hold of me and I need to have something to help me keep it under control. I know that I will not need to be on the tablets for very long as its just circumstances that are beyond my control which is causing the anxiety. Once I get through this time I know that my anxiety will be relieved. I am going to persevere with these for a while and hope that in time I can come off them completely.
It made my T insanely worse! I had to stop after four days. Then I chose to have a rest with the medication but doctor insisted that I should have another try: again the outcome was exactly what I expected! My T went berserk!.... I have now decided to give it up.
Late to the party here, but after about 5 months on Sertraline 50mg I’m tapering off as the side effects have been bad, including making my T louder and more persistent. I should say that I took it about 5 years ago and had none of the side effects I’ve had this time and found it very helpful so would say it varies wildly from person to person.
I was prescribed Sertraline for severe depression 5 years ago. I had mild tinnitus before taking Sertraline, my tinnitus increased dramatically about 15 minutes after the first pill (I quit after 3) This has remained unchanged ever since. I curse the day I chose to take this poison.
