Ménière’s disease & tinnitus problems

Can anyone share their own experiences of Ménière’s disease, treatment and if it eventually clears up please? My consultant is leaning towards this diagnosis, it’s horrible when the vertigo takes effect. Thanks

Just came across your message from 3 years ago asking for people's Menieres experiences. I can't see any replies. I am interested as iv'e not found anyone who actually has Menieres to explain their experience of it. Can you please enlighten me as One consultant told me I had it and gave me 6months of Behistamine (this caused tummy problems so stopped taking it. ) I have experienced spontaneous bouts of disorientation - eg - got up in the morning and started veering to the right - no dizziness but a horrible feeling of doom and disorientation. It lasted 10 days last time. Sometimes it only lasts a couple of days. I only get one or two bouts of it a year. I have reduced hearing in left ear and extremes of tinnitus in that same ear. It peaks and troughs - changes from a high frequency hiss to a single high pitched sound - like a tuning fork - and i have had a revving deep sound which only lasts seconds.
